CLIVE ELLSWORTH CALHOUN
CALHOUN, CLIVE ELLSWORTH The passing of Clive Ellsworth Calhoun of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 10, 1933 in Parker's Ridge, NB, he was the son of the late Nelson and Myrtle (Bonner) Calhoun. Clive was a union bricklayer and spent most of his working years with Maritime Brick Layers. He was a Veteran of the Korean War - Artillery and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4. He enjoyed playing his guitar, cards and socializing with friends and family. In addition to his partner of 29 years, Shirley Harrison, Clive is survived by his daughter, Cathy (Calhoun) Sparkes of Fredericton, NB; sons, Barry (Trina) of Stanley, NB and Gary (Rhonda) of Woodstock, NB; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Marlene, Delores and Helena; brother, Mel and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Morris. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 3 pm with Rev. Neville Cheeseman officiating. Honourary Pallbearers for the service will be members of IUBAC Local #8, NB. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 are asked to assemble at the funeral home for a Legion Tribute Service immediately following the memorial service.
