JANE ANNA SHANNON
SHANNON, JANE ANNA Surrounded with the loving care of her family, Jane A. (Moore) Shannon of Nackawic passed away July 9th, 2009 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. She was born on January 30th, 1938 at her family home in Pokiok, NB to the late Jack C. and Cynthia D. (Hatto) Moore. Jane lived her 71 years to the fullest and had many wonderful times with her family and friends. She will be lovingly missed by her children, Janet Burns, Hamilton, ON, Dawn MacFarlane (Kevin), Southampton and Colin Shannon (Barb), Burlington, ON. She adored her grandchildren, Christy Ann Cameron, Andrea Cameron, Jacqueline MacFarlane, Brock MacFarlane, Vanessa MacFarlane, Michelle Bragdon, Carrie Shannon, Austin Lowes and Alyssa Lowes. She had four great grandchildren, Kaden Cameron, Jayla Anderson, Jason and Kara Matthews. Jane treasured every moment spent with her sisters, Gail Crain (Frank), Dumfries and Linda Caverhill (Michael), Campbell Settlement and her two brothers, Jack Moore (Rita), Pokiok and Ken Moore (Ann), Nackawic and special cousin, Joan Rae (Clifford), Calgary, AB. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews, cousins, four aunts and her furry companions Heidi and Peaches. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by Robert Bradley in 1994. Jane grew up in Pokiok and moved to Ontario at the age of 16. She moved back to New Brunswick in 1975 and worked at the Shell Restaurant in Pokiok. In 1976 she helped run the Pokiok Irving until 1982 when she became a Red Cross Homemaker and lovingly took care of many people until her retirement in 2003. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for Branch 27, Southampton and put in many volunteer hours helping at legion events. To live in the hearts of those you love, is not to die. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 12th, 2009 at 2 pm. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. Interment will be later at the Barony Cemetery.
