JONES, BEATRICE LILLIAN The passing of Beatrice Lillian Jones of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Walter Jones occurred on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 1, 1909 in Tay Creek, she was the daughter of the late James and Maude (Thomas) MacKinnon. Beatrice is survived by her two sons, Wayne (Joyce) of Tay Creek and Eric (Lauvinia) of Fredericton; one granddaughter, Cindy (Lonnie) Forbes of Caverhill; four grandsons, Randy and Kevin of Nova Scotia, Patrick (Shelley) of Vimy, AB and Peter of Fredericton; six great grandchildren, Ryan (Amanda), Dawn, Mark and Katelyn Forbes of Caverhill, Amanda and Kayla Jones of Edmonton, AB; one great great grandchild, Makayla Forbes of Caverhill. She is also survived by her three sisters, Freda Hickey and Pearl (Jack) Buchanan of Tay Creek and Gladys Davidson of Fredericton; sister-in-law, Dorothy MacKinnon of Tay Creek as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a special neighbor and friend, Hallie Cameron. In addition to her husband and parents, Beatrice was predeceased by her daughter, Lois (Fred) Nealis; sisters, Viola Mills, Mabel MacKinnon and Marie Hayes; brothers, Elwood and Gerald MacKinnon. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home , 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will take place from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 2pm with Canon Jon R. Lownds officiating. Pallbearers for this service will be grandchildren, Patrick and Peter Jones, Lonnie, Ryan, Dawn and Katelyn Forbes. A Reception will follow the service in the Fireside Room. Interment will take place in the North Cardigan United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the North Cardigan United Church Cemetery Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
