EDNA BEATRICE HILL
HILL, EDNA BEATRICE Today the angels sang and Heaven's gates opened wide as a daughter went home to be with her Heavenly Father. The passing of Edna Beatrice (Morgan) Hill, wife of the late Perley M. Hill, occurred on July 20, 2009 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on November 7, 1915 at Cloverdale, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Adelaid (Hill) Morgan. She lived in Cloverdale for many years, was a member of the Union Church, the Ladies Aid and the 4H Club Leader, before moving to Fredericton. Edna was a member of the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and its president for many years, the Missionary Society, Couples Club, Morning Out Group and taught Sunday School for many years. Edna was a wonderful seamstress and worked at the Polio Clinic-Health Center for ten years and cared for children for 16 years. Edna is survived by five children; two sons, Malcolm Hill (Sheila) of Burtts Corner, NB, David Hill (Barbara) of Tatamagouche, NS; three daughters, Patricia Lenentine (Allison) of Bridgewater, ME, Florence Pond (Harold) of Fredericton, NB; Carmen Burns (Peter) of Moncton, NB; eleven grandchildren, Greg Lenentine (Jo), Brent Lenentine (Jeannie), Cheryl Porter (Steven), Andrew Hill (Kim), Troy Hill, Trent Hill (Lisa), Matthew Burns, Jennifer Sewell (Mike), Mitchell Burns, Benjamin Hill (Erin-Leigh) and Jonathan Hill; twelve great grandchildren, Ashley Porter, Jeremy Lenentine, Mark Lenentine (Lacey), Anna Lenentine, Justin Lenentine, Joshua Lenentine, Brady Hill, Danielle Hill, Morgan Sewell, Nicholas Sewell, Colby Hill and Cooper Hill; one sister, Margie Crouse of Coldstream, NB and many nieces and nephews. Edna was predeceased by five brothers, Fred Hill, Abram Hawkins, Samuel, Philip and Ronald Morgan; four sisters, Barbara Hawkins, Ella Shelby, Evelyn Sproull and Bell Swim and one granddaughter, Kimberly Hill. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Nashwaaksis Baptist Church on Friday at 2 pm with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating. Reception will follow at the church. Interment will take place in Cloverdale Cemetery, Friday at 5:30 pm.
