Bruce MacDonald

1955-2008 Bruce Gerard MacDonald of Memramcook, N.B., passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the age of 53. Born in Glace Bay, N.S., he was the son of the late Michael MacDonald (April 1997) and the late Bessie (Maclean) MacDonald (December 2007) of Kentville, N.S. He worked in the hospitality (food and beverage) industry in Halifax, N.S., and St. John’s, N.L., for many years and more recently as a correctional officer at the Dorchester Penitentiary. He was an avid fly fisherman and a member of the Salmon Association of Eastern Newfoundland. He was also a great cook and liked a good story. He is survived by his daughters, Brandy and Alishia, both of Halifax; his son, Christopher, Gatineau, Que.; his sister, Liliane (Vince) Gallant, St. John’s, N.L.; and his brothers, Ian and Paul, both of Kentville, N.S.
