FRANK CLARKE STOKOE

STOKOE, FRANK CLARKE The passing of Frank Clarke Stokoe, of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Eileen (Rowe) Stokoe, occurred on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Veterans Health Unit, Fredericton. Born on March 22, 1922 in Ottawa, ON he was a son of the late Thomas and Edith (Rigby) Stokoe. He was with the RCAF in WWII, serving in India, Belgium and England. Frank retired with the rank of Squadron Leader in 1946. He then returned to the air force from 1954 thru 1969. Frank then became chief accountant and administrative officer with Noranda Mines. Frank was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Fredericton where he was church treasurer and choir member. Frank was a wonderful and loving father who will be dearly missed by his family. Frank is survived by one son, David Stokoe of Ottawa; one daughter, Maureen Stokoe of Fredericton; one grandson, Mark Stokoe; one brother, Brian Stokoe of Ottawa; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Frank was predeceased by his step mother, Stella Stokoe. A Funeral Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Main Street on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 2 pm with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Cemetery. A reception will follow. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
