
ORA MURRAY
MURRAY, ORA Unexpectedly at the DECH, Ora William Murray, passed away on August 15th, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Ora was born at Shaw Street, Chipman, but lived all his years at Gaspereau Forks. Survived by his daughters, Ruth True, Doris Robinson, Norma and Starr Murray; by son Kenneth (Gertie); nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Ora was the last of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, Vera (Fraser) on July 11th, 2009 and their son, Merrill, on July 13th, 2009. Besides his parents, William & Ellathina (Bishop), he was also predeceased by brothers, Gordon, Lester, Edward and Blanely; by sisters, Blanche, Myrtle MacIntyre, Beatrice Hopkins and three grandchildren. Ora worked mostly in the woods, but also was a driver of the Irving barge and worked at the government garage. In the nineties, Ora was still fixing chains for Kenneth's machine. He loved going to the horse hauling matches, and thanks to Ronnie, he got to his last one in August. Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home until Wednesday when funeral service will be held from the Chipman United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kathi Zwicker officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials to the Gaspereau Forks United Church of Canada or the NB Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
