NEWROTH, RUTH MARGARET At her home on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009, Ruth Margaret Newroth passed away at the age of 97. Born in Woodstock, NB, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Adelaide (Urquhart) McIntyre. She enjoyed knitting and sewing, in 1985, she made her one and only quilt. She and her late husband Ian also enjoyed camping. They had celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on November 9th, 2005. In 1943, she joined the Rebekahs in Woodstock, left in 1955 with a move to Fredericton. Ruth was employed at Willett Fruit Co., The Daily Gleaner, and the Department of National Defense. She was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxillary, branch #4, Fredericton. She is survived by daughters, Patricia Jenkins (Al) of Oshawa, ON, Bonnie Charlton (Tom) of Wardner, BC, and Jean Raymond, formerly of Halifax; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Ian; brother Chester McIntyre and his wife Amber (Draper); grandson Ian Jenkins. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9th, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Paul Ross officiating. Interment will be held in the Forest Hill Cemetery Field of Honor. For those who wish memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
