FRASER, DONALD Donald W. Fraser passed away peacefully at his home in Augusta, Maine on August 25, 2009. He was born December 8, 1924 in Gorham, New Hampshire, son of Melvin and Blanch (Blowers) Fraser. Don entered the U.S. Army where he served in Africa and Italy, and was honorably discharged in 1947. Don worked at Togus Veterans hospital retiring after 35 years. He is survived by 3 daughters, Lori Hallet of Palermo, Sally Dickinson of Augusta, Vicki Loubier (Paul) of Weeks Mills, 3 grand children, and one great grandchild. Also by sister Fern Breton of South Portland, brother Vernon Fraser (Arlene) of Prince William, NB. Two half brothers, William Lord (Barbara) of Arizona, Hugh Chapman (Lynn) of Gilead Maine, several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at Knowlton and Hewins funeral home in Augusta, August 28, 2009 at 12 noon. Committal service with full military honors was held graveside at the New Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road in Augusta.
