RAE, PHYLLIS JANE Phyllis J. (Chapman-Fox) Rae of Saint John, formerly of Southampton and Dumfries, passed away September 12th, 2009 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in 1914 at Temperance Vale, NB, a daughter of the late Norman and Elma (Murdoch) Chapman. Phyllis was active in the Womens Institute both in Southampton and while she lived in Dumfries. Phyllis is survived by a daughter, Bernice (Fox) Connolly (Neil), Quispamsis; a daughter-in-law, Norma Fox, Colinton, AB; a sister-in-law, Elma Chapman, Gagetown, NB; seven grandchildren, Sharon (Connolly) MacDonald (James), Quispamsis, Ruth Connolly (Dennis Mah), New York, NY, Alison Fox-Robichaud (Robert), Hamilton, ON, Nancy Fox (Andrew Fischer), Hampton, NB, John Fox, Ottawa, ON, Andrew Fox (Valerie), Michael Fox ( Stephanie), both of Red Deer, AB; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Elmer Fox; her second husband, John Rae; a son, Eldon Fox; siblings, Ruth Maxwell, Eldon Chapman, Leslie Chapman and Pauline Bryant. Although there will be no visitation, friends are welcome to attend the funeral service to be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 4 pm with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Temperance Vale Cemetery.
