GALLAGHER, GEORGE W. The passing of George William Gallagher of Zealand, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 13th, 2009. He was 74. Born at Dorne Ridge, NB, he was the son of the late Winslow Asa and Matilda Jane (Lawrence) Gallagher. George worked as a woodsman and farmer. He is survived by six sisters, Alberta Staples of Fredericton, Queenie Brewer of Burtt's Corner, Guida Chapman of Penniac, Clara Phillips (Earl) of Fredericton, Freda Jones (Burpee) of Fredericton and Madeline Sharpe (Raymond) of Zealand; a special nephew, Ronald Chapman of Northampton as well as other nieces and nephews; also survived by a special friend, Carl Foster of Burtt's Corner. Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Hurschel, Milford, Allison, Ottie and by sisters, Josephine Gallagher and Greta Brewer. George had requested that no visitation or formal funeral service be held and his wishes will be respected. Interment in St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Zealand, NB at a later date.
