KWOK-TAI KAN
KAN, KWOK-TAI After a 13-year long battle with ALS, Kwok-Tai Kan passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 at the age of 65. Loving husband of Marie Tong and dedicated friend to many, Kwok-Tai was born in Hong Kong, China on September 27th, 1943. In addition to his wife Marie, K.T. leaves to mourn his sister, Wai Kit; nieces, Ella, June and Elaine; nephews, Ben and Jian Li (Pei Liu) and his daughter, Crystal; brother-in-law, Peter Tong (Connie); cousin, Ma Kong (K.K.) and their children, Stephanie and Carlin; and many good friends. He was predeceased by his parents. Kwok-Tai earned his degree from UNB and later taught there as a professor of civil engineering. He was a long time member of OCSA and CCANB and enjoyed spending his time fishing, gardening and skiing. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York St., on Saturday, September 19th, 2009 from 10 am to 12 pm. The memorial service will take place later the same day in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel at 4 pm with a reception following.
