COY, ALICE VESTA The passing of Alice Vesta (Armstrong) Coy, wife of the late Edwin Coy, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on September 29, 2009 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on March 10, 1914 in Bellisle, Kings County, NB, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mathilda (Snider) Armstrong. Alice was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed quilting and liked to cook. She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Seymour (Darrell) "Dag" of Estey's Bridge, NB; one son, Larry Coy (Kaye) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jane Rempel (Dean) of BC, Barry Seymour (Wendy) of Worcester, MASS, Mark Seymour (Joanne) of Fredericton, NB and David Hopey (Coleen) of Fredericton, NB; great grandchildren, Jenna, Kelsey, Devon and Laura Seymour and Nicholas Hopey; three sisters-in-law, Irene Armstrong of Saint John, NB, Dorothy Coy of Fredericton, NB and Edith Coy of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Noel Coy; sisters, Vera Freeze, Viola Nelson, Kathleen Smylie and Jean O'Blenis; brothers, Harry, Frank, Fred and Tom Armstrong; half sister, Anne Holder. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Funeral Service will be held from St. Mary's Anglican Church on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 2 pm with Father Ian Wetmore officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to St. Mary's Anglican Church Memorial Fund or to York Foundation (York Manor) would be appreciated by the family.
