WHITE, JAMES DANIEL It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father James Daniel White. Born in Goshen, NB on January 6, 1929, he was the youngest son in the large family of James and Margaret White and the loving husband of Anna (McCann) of Enniskillen, NB. Our Dad was known as much for his kind generous spirit as he was for his dry wit and humour; this served him well in life throughout his careers as an accountant at CNR and NB Power. He will also be remembered for his tireless support of community organizations, including St. Anthony's Parish, Birthright, Knights of Columbus and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. His greatest source of pride and delight was in the accomplishments of his children, Susanne, Karen (David McKay), Kevin (Patricia Echola), Barry and Catherine (Don McCain), of his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ana and Kelsey McCain and Fiona and Ryan McKay; and the many antics of his dogs, especially Bailey. He taught us well how to support and be of service to others. Sharing in our grief are his three sisters, Mary MacLean, Margaret Michaud and Barbara Toner; his extended family across New Brunswick and Ontario. He was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph, Patrick, Patricia, Theresa and Josephine. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm and Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm. For those of you who enjoyed our fathers company, we invite you to raise a toast to your favorite memory. Please join us in a celebration of his life at St. Anthony's Parish on Friday at 11 am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Our heartfelt thanks go to the doctors and staff in the Palliative Care Unit of the DECRH. In lieu of flowers, donations to Birthright or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB are appreciated.
