DORCAS, SYLVIA GRACE The passing of Sylvia Grace Dorcas of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Arthur Scott occurred on Wednesday, October 07, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 1, 1938 in Williamsburg, NB, she was the daughter of Hazel Dorcas and the late Irvine Dorcas. Sylvia is retired from Property Management in Washington, DC. In addition to her mother, Sylvia is survived by her five daughters, Wendy Lynn Prahlad (Gagi) of Brampton, ON, Valerie Ann Scott of Missouri, USA, Beverley Kay Prosser (Kenny) of Saint John, NB, Tamalia Jean Belliveau (Mike) of Dieppe, NB and Allison Lynn Scott of Fredericton, NB; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Kay Cross (Brian) of Fredericton, NB and Jane Keith (Greg) of Sussex, NB; brothers, Greg Dorcas of Fredericton, NB and Daryl Dorcas of Cold Lake, AB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her father and husband, Sylvia was predeceased by her brother, Gerald Dorcas. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 2 pm with Pastor Stephen McLean. Interment will take place in Williamsburg Community Cemetery.
