BARLOW, ROBERT "BURTON" The death of Robert "Burton" Barlow of Fredericton, NB age 82 occurred at the Pine Grove Nursing Home on Sunday, October 11th, 2009. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Walter and Ethel (Hughes) Barlow and the husband of Althea (Ellis) Barlow. Burton worked for many years as Manager of NB Tel in Woodstock and Fredericton and later as Personnel Director for NB Community College. He was very much involved with Christ Church Parish Church where he was a member for many years. He was also a member of the Golden Club and Fredericton Rotary Club. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years Althea; one sister, Gladys Gow (John) of Saint John, NB; three nieces, Janice Stephenson of Halifax, NS, Lynda Gow of Edmonton and Sharon Salter (Joseph) of North Sydney, NS and four nephews, Bruce Gow (Trudy) of Saint John, Peter Nickerson of North Sydney, NS, Robert Nickerson of Saint John, NB, William Stratton of Ottawa, ON and Richard Stratton of Ottawa, ON; sisters- in - law, Marjorie Stratton of Ottawa and Constance Nickerson of North Sydney, NS. Predeceased by his parents, one sister Nancy Brown. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service will be held at Christ Church Parish Church on Thursday, October 15th, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Anthony Kwaw will officiate. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
