NICOLL, MAUREEN GRAY Maureen Gray Nicoll, passed away peacefully in the Abbie Lane Hospital, Halifax, on 18th October after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. After years of struggling with Rheumatoid Arthritis, she is now at rest and peace. Loving wife of Murray Nicoll, Maureen, aged 76, was born in Newton Stewart Scotland. Throughout her married life, Maureen was a "Stay at Home Mom", loving, watching and guiding their two boys grow up and then loving and watching her grandchildren. She was a long time member of the Ladies Guild in Calvin Presbyterian Church, Maureen is survived by husband, Murray; sons, Stephen (Kelly), Kevin (Christine); grandchildren, Kristy, Dylan, Patrick, Katherine, and Christopher; her sister, Bunty (Tom) Edinburgh; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Sheila; her parents, Eric and Catherine Walker and earlier this year her brother, Billy ( Jo.). Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 24th at 3:00 pm in Calvin Presbyterian Church, Ashburn Ave Halifax.
