HOGAN, WILLIAM LEWIS The death of William L. Hogan occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on October 29th, 2009. He was born June 19th, 1918 in Petersville, NB to the late James and Mary Hogan. Willie is survived by his children, Linda (Hugh), Ed (Cheryl), Paul (Angela) and Peter (Brenda); grandchildren, Heather (Andrew), Mark, Jennifer, Tyler, Casey, Madison and Ben; sister, Gertrude Breen; brothers, Daniel and Francis (Evelyn); sister-in-law, Mary Hogan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Edna (Logue); sisters, Ethel Hogan, Margaret Hogan and Evelyn Garland (Roy); brothers, John (Mary), James, Leo and brother-in-law, George Breen. Willie's early years were spent farming and lumbering in Petersville, NB. In later years he was employed as a civilian at CFB Gagetown, retiring in 1983. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul in Oromocto. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Sunday, November 1st, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Monday, November 2nd, 2009 at 11:00 am with Fr. Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will occur in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Grandbay-Westfield following a reception. For those who wish, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
