GERALD MURRAY WEBB
WEBB, GERALD MURRAY ~ NOVEMBER 16, 2009 Gerry left the party too early! - but not without a valiant fight against bladder cancer. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy MacQuade Webb, his sons Craig and Keith, his father Murray, sister Joyce (Kevin) Thomander, nephews Glenn and Randy and niece Beth, buddy & sister-in-law Liz MacQuade, as well as a legion of friends. Gerald was predeceased by his mom, Gladys and his pal, Pagli. Gerry was born in Moncton on October 4th 1947 and spent his formative years in Fredericton. One of his earlier and favorite claims to fame was being the best "bagger" at Tingleys. Also, he honed his love for harness racing at the Fredericton Racetrack, and he most recently rekindled that passion by purchasing a horse named "Feisty". After attending UNB, Gerry lived in many cities from coast to coast, eventually settling in Calgary, where he established his own financial business. Ger followed his heart and moved back to New Brunswick, to the Village of Gagetown, fulfilling his dream of having a home - Beechmont House - on the beautiful St. John River. Together with his wife, partner and best friend Nancy, they took Gagetown by storm, buying the Marina, the Boatique, and The Old Boot Pub - the jewel in Ger's crown. Gerry was passionate about everything life had to offer including golf, travel, music, meeting people, boating, kitchen parties Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton NB on Thursday, November 19th from 2 pm - 4 pm and 7 pm - 9 pm. The memorial service will be held on Friday, November 20th at 2pm at Grace United Church, Tilley Road, Village of Gagetown, NB, where Gerry was a member. Rev. Jane Johnson will officiate. A reception will follow at The Old Boot Pub. In lieu of flowers, Gerry would appreciate contributions to the Grace United Church Organ Fund. This message has been approved by GerBear Webb - who currently holds 5th place in the Old Boot Hockey Pool. www.mcadamsfh.com
