Newmarket, Ont. We regret to announce the passing of Veronica Mary Wadden at MacKenzie Place, Newmarket, Ont., on Friday, April 25, 2008. Born in St. John’s, Nfld., she was the oldest daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Mae (Davies) Byrne. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Thorburn, Bradford, Ont.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Romo and Carol Mullins; two brothers, Leo (Ruth) and Allister (Irene), all of Glace Bay. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Wadden, formerly of Waddens Cove in 1990; two sisters, Helen Croney and Mae Toomey and two brothers, Gerald and Michael. Interment took place in Markham, Ont., April 28, 2008.
