CAMERON, ROSS WILLIS The passing of Ross Willis Cameron, husband of Mary A. (Shields) Cameron, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on December 6, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 5, 1924 in South Devon, NB, he was a son of the late J. Bruce and Ruby H. (Lyons) Cameron. Ross retired as the purchasing manager with the NB Liquour Corporation in 1984 and was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church. He served in the Second World War and is a Charter and Life member of the Nashwaaksis Y's Men's Club. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sharon A. Cameron of Fredericton, NB, Linda Cameron of Toronto, ON; son, Stephen Cameron (Karen) of Upper Kingsclear, NB; three grandchildren, Wendy, Kimberly and David; brother, John Cameron of Fredericton, NB; brother-in-law, Douglas Shields (Shirley); nieces and nephews, Sheila Moore, Reginald and Brian Cameron, Michael, Paul, James Furlong and Heather Bell. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Maston, Marjorie Boone and infant sister, Alice; brother, Wallace. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB, on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Nashwaaksis United Church on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. George Feenstra officiating and Rev. Gil MacKenzie assisting. Reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery. Family flowers only.
