DOUGLASS, MAVIS ANN (CARR) The family of Mavis Ann (Carr) Douglass, formerly of Fredericton, NB, announce her passing in Liberty, Texas, USA on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. She was the wife of the late David Douglass, formerly of Stanley, NB. Mavis was the daughter of the late Earle M. Carr and Violet M. (Barber) Carr of Fredericton, NB. She was born in Fredericton in 1942. After her marriage she, along with her husband and daughter Margaret, lived in various areas of the United States eventually taking up permanent residence in Daisetta, Texas. She was a homemaker and special care worker. Mavis had been in failing health over the past several years. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Pickett of Daisetta, Texas; brothers Lewis E. Carr and wife, Sharon; Richard A. Carr and wife, Charlotte; sisters Carole M. Rankine and Marilyn G. Nicholson and husband, Al all of Fredericton. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jack Carver and wife, Laura of Liberty, Texas; Amanda Cummins and husband, Josh of Liberty, Texas; and Earle Pickett of Daisetta, Texas. Great grandchildren are Katelynn and Aiden. She was predeceased in 2004 by her husband, David Douglass of Daisetta, Texas; her infant son, Christopher David in 1966; and her parents. Cremation took place with the funeral service held in Daisetta, Texas. Interment will take place in Fredericton at a later date.
