ANNA THERESA WHITE
WHITE, ANNA THERESA With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Anna Theresa (McCann) White, wife of James Daniel White, also recently deceased. With her warm smile and twinkle in her eye, Ann endeared herself to all who came into her life. Her path began in Enniskillen, NB, born on November 12, 1929, the fourth child of Ellen (Barry) and Daniel McCann. Those of you who came to appreciate her charms may have known Anna from her early days working as a Telephone Office Supervisor at NB Tel in Saint John; from her active days involved in sports; from her marriage to James and her fulfilling years as a mother to five children, Susanne, Karen (McKay), Kevin, Barry and Catherine (McCain); from her active involvement with St. Anthony's Parish community as President of the CWL and founding organizer of the parish bingo or in her last years spent bravely battling illness at the DECRH and at Pine Grove Nursing Home. To all she was appreciated as a humble, generous and hard working woman whose great joy was in spending time with her grandchildren, Fiona and Ryan McKay (Toronto) and Kaitlyn, Ana and Kelsey McCain. Sharing in our grief is her sister, Mary Riley; her sisters-in-law, Mary MacLean (Ottawa), Margaret Michaud and Barbara Toner; daughter-in-law, Patrice Echola (Reno, Nevada) and sons-in-law, David McKay (Toronto) and Don McCain and her many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her brothers, Barry, Gerald and Ralph. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Saturday, December 26, 2009 from 10 am to 12 pm. For those of you who appreciated our dear mother, we invite you to raise a toast to your favorite memory. Please join us in a celebration of her life at St. Anthony's Parish on Saturday, December 26, 2009 with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Pine Grove Nursing Home are appreciated in gratitude to the staff who took Anna into their hearts. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
