SMITH, WALTER CHIPMAN December 12, 1928 - January 6, 2010 Walter Smith passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at the age of 81. Walter was born to Walter and Willamina Smith in Hampton, New Brunswick on December 12, 1928. He spent most of his life in New Brunswick but moved to Calgary in the most recent years of his life. We remember Walter's devotion to his family and his enjoyment in working with those in the dairy industry. Walter is predeceased by his wife Mary, and his three sons Calvin, Ernie (Yvonne), Brian (Pat) and his sister Loy (Frank). He is survived by his two sons, Raymond (Sheila) and Ward (Andrea) and five daughters, Marilyn, Bonnie, Cheryl (Brian), Connie, and Colleen (Cornell) and his sister Verna. Also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren are left to cherish his life. A funeral service will be held at Commemorative Services (5502-2nd Street S.W., Calgary) for family on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm. A larger service will be held in Fredericton, New Brunswick in the spring to celebrate Walter's life.
