MCELROY, REV. ARTHUR (September 27, 1923 - January 18, 2010) The passing of Rev. Arthur McElroy of Perth-Andover, NB occurred on January 18, 2010 at his residence at the age of 86. Born in St. Stephens, NB he was the son of the late Tom and Gertrude McElroy but raised by the late Charles and Henrietta DeMerchant. Rev. McElroy is survived by his wife of 60 years Hannah (Honey) (Munn) McElroy; daughter Brenda (Mackie) Brooker of Holtville; son Stephen McElroy of Saint John; grandson Bradley (Carmel) Brooker of Noonan; sister Pauline Trainor of Ontario; nephew George Trainor of Ontario. He had special family Travis and Shirley Adams and family; also brothers and sister-in-laws. Predeceased by his parents and adopted parents, several brothers and sisters, father and mother-in-law Clairmont and Ella Mae Munn, several brother and sister-in-laws. Resting at Calvary Tabernacle, 12 Legion Street Ext., Perth-Andover with visiting hours on Wednesday, January 20th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 21st at 2 pm from Calvary Tabernacle with Rev. D.T. Ferrell and Rev. H.M. Lewis officiating. Interment in the Hillcrest Cemetery later in the spring.
