GILMORE, FREDERICK "FRED" WILLIAM The passing of Frederick "Fred" William Gilmore of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at home. Born on May 20, 1939 in Wardsettlement, NB, he was the son of Hazel (Sands) Gilmore and the late Bertram "Bert" Gilmore. Fred spent his early years in BC. He returned to NB and worked at Outdoor Equipment. He retired after working 25 years with the city of Fredericton as a Mechanic. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his three sisters, Doris (Vernon) Dorcas of Williamsburg, NB, Frances (Brian) Moore of Lincoln, NB and Dianne (Ralph) McManus of Nackawic, NB; six brothers, Carl of Stanley, NB, Douglas (Jeannine) of Fredericton, NB, Gerald (Lavona) of Stanley, NB, Glendon of Wardsettlement, NB, Brian (Tressa) of Killarney Road, NB and Ivan (Lisa) of Marysville, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert Angus; niece, Margaret (Dorcas) Flynn; nephews, Roger Moore and Shane Gilmore. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Bob Johnson. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
