LILAS PEARL CROUSE

CROUSE, LILAS PEARL The passing of Lilas Pearl Crouse of Zealand, NB, wife of the late Myles Eldon Crouse occurred on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at her home. Born on May 19, 1918 in Morehouse Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Harry B. and Hazel (Morehouse) Estey. She was affiliated with St. Paul's Anglican Church, Zealand, NB. "Gram/AuntI" loved quilting, knitting and especially spending time with her family. Lilas is survived by her two daughters, Betty Jones (Burchill) of Zealand, NB, Brenda Crouse (Gary Allen) of Zealand, NB; four grandchildren, Stephanie Foss (Wayne), Mark Crouse (Annette), Joel Crouse (Joanne), Jeremy Crouse (Rhonda); six great grandchildren, Julie Foss, Laura, Melanie, Jerico, Bethany and Liam Crouse; sister, Geraldine Crouse of Zealand, NB; daughter-in-law, Sandra Crouse and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Lilas was predeceased by son, Burtis "Buster" Crouse; granddaughter, Krista Crouse; brothers, Gerald and Aubrey Estey; sisters, Pauline Burtt, Eileen Allen and Leila Crouse. There will be no visitation by request of the family. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2 pm with Archdeacon John T. Sharpe officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Mark, Joel, Jeremy and Brent Crouse, Wayne Foss and Laurie Burtt; Honourary Pallbearers will be her six great grandchildren. Interment will take place in St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery at a later date. At the family's request, there will be no flowers. For those who wish, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society, Chalmers Foundation (Oncology Department) or to the St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
