MOREHOUSE, EDITH ELVA The passing of Edith Elva Morehouse of Upper Keswick, NB, wife of Hugh Morehouse occurred on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 17, 1938 in Zealand, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rosie (Brewer) Gilbert. Edith enjoyed knitting, cooking and loved to flower garden. In addition to her husband, Edith is survived by her daughter, Debbie Yerxa of Burtts Corner, NB; grandchildren, Mistelle Boyne, Blake Boyne, Jennifer Hudgins (Aaron) and Mitchell Brewer (Jenna Hallihan); great grandchildren, Shelley Allyson (Ally) Brewer and Chloe Hudgins; sisters, Della Brewer of Zealand, NB, Eileen Stairs (John) of Southampton, NB and Minnie Sabean of Saint John, NB; brothers, Melrose Gilbert (Francis) and John Gilbert both of Zealand, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Edith was predeceased by her daughters, Shelley Boyne and Diane Morehouse; sisters, Sylvia Morehouse and Jean Webb. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 2 pm with Archdeacon John T. Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place in St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Zealand, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery or the charity of the donor's choice.
