BALSER, CARL JAMES Carl James Balser in his 77th year, passed away peacefully on Feb. 4, 2010 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton with Marcia by his side. Born in Digby, NS, he was a son of the late Ernest and Eva (Collins) Balser. He is survived by a son Lloyd Leslie Balser (Crystal) of Vancouver, BC; lifetime partner Gladys of Canning, NS; brother and sister in laws; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother; father; grandparents; brother George R. (Bob) Balser; stepmothers Irene Dennison, and Marjorie Newcombe; nephew Robert Balser; several nieces and nephews. Cremation to take place with visitation on Wednesday Feb. 10, 2010 at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road, from 1-2 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. A reception will follow with everyone invited to visit with the family. Burial to take place at a later date in Digby, NS at the Baptist Cemetery.
