WILLIAMS, EILEEN MAY (NÉE ANDERSON) After giving her family the ultimate lesson in maintaining grace and humour in the face of cancer, Eileen Williams passed away on January 21. She will be mourned and missed forever by her devoted family: her husband of 57 years, Neil; son Neil (Linda: Sarah and Will); daughter Cyndy (Udai Gill: Neil Gill); daughter Myrna (Dan Breda: Lisa and Luke Sayer) and son Martin (Lori). The high-spirited youngest child of Sidney and Plessa Anderson of Browns Flat, New Brunswick (Look it up: it'll give you something to do), Eileen was predeceased by her parents and four older brothers: Sidney, Hilmar, George and Harry. Her elder sister, Elsie Tyler, and several nieces and nephews survive her. Fun-loving, well-read and curious, Eileen loved home and family more than anything else. There's no place she would rather be than enjoying the view of the St. John River from her family home. Heartfelt thanks to the health care professionals who supported Eileen in recent years: her oncologist in New Brunswick, Dr. Margot Burnell, and her Regina care givers: Dr. J. Stewart McMillan, Dr. Mirjana Zarkovic, the nurses and LPNs of 3A and 3B at the Pasqua Hospital, and all of the kind and compassionate women who provided her final support and comfort at Wascana Grace Hospice. No funeral will be held at Eileen's request; however a private family memorial will be held at her home in New Brunswick next summer. Eileen battled cancer for 36 years.
