Margaret Beatrice Capstick

84, Capstick It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Beatrice Capstick, a resident of Capstick, Victoria Co., on Thursday, May 15, 2008. Born in Capstick, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Theresa (MacLellan) MacDonald. She was a member of St. Margaret’s Parish, Bay St. Lawrence. Margaret was a kind and loving member of not only our family, but also the community of Bay St. Lawrence. As an active member of the Parish, the Central Co-op, and a school teacher, she gave of herself for the people around her, and expected nothing in return but a friendly smile. She will be missed by all. She will be deeply missed by her sons, David (Rhonda) Ont.; Lawrence (Carol) Sydney; daughter, Vivian (Gabriel Sr.) Halifax; grandchildren Sharlene, Trevor, Warren, Melanie, and Gabriel Jr.; great-granddaughter Madison; and sisters, Lillian and Helen. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Edmond; sisters, Annie Mae and Catherine, and brothers, John Hughie, Murdock James, Joseph, and Lawrence. Visitation for Margaret Capstick will be held Monday, May 19, 2008, in St. Margaret’s Parish Center, from 6-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Church, with Fr. William MacPherson officiating. The funeral is under the care and direction of J.M.Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
