72, Boularderie / Glace Bay It is with saddened hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all — Harold (Billy) Caines — on Friday, May 16, 2008, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Glace Bay, Harold was the son of the late Harold and Ester (Harris) Caines. Harold was employed at Devco, Collieries No.12, 18, and 20. Harold was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Glace Bay. Harold is survived by his wife, Margaret (Livingstone) Caines; daughter, Brenda Southwell; sons, Kevin (Louise) Caines, Glace Bay, Joe (Joanne) Caines, Dominion, Wayne Canes; sisters, Rhoda Caines, Glace Bay, Olive (Sam) Vokey, Glace Bay; brothers, John Caines, Glace Bay, Jerry (Chris) Caines, Glace Bay; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Harold was predeceased by a son, Donnie, brothers, Lesley and Jimmy, and sister, Shirley. Visitation for the late Harold ‘Billy’ Caines will take place at Patten Funeral Home and Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520, Monday, May 19, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to take place Tuesday, May 20 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating, burial to follow at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney-Glace Bay Highway. Donations in Harold’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
