Annabel McDonald

Inverness/Reading, Mass. It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our mother, Annabel McDonald, 91, of 31 Celtic Dr., Inverness, on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Stirling, Richmond County, she was the daughter of the late Sandy and Flora (MacLennan) McDonald. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Annabel was a caring, loving mother and grandmother whose first concern was always for her family. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Earl MacLean, Glens Falls, N.Y., Margaret (Bert) Campbell, Inverness, with whom she resided; grandchildren, Donna, Rhode Island, David, Massachusetts, Earl (Ruth), Maryland, Kenneth, Kenya, Heather, Truro, Ian, Moncton, N.B.; great-grandchildren, Heather, Maryland, Alexander, Kenya; brother-in-law, Reg Benoit, Reading, Mass; sisters-in-law, Rhodena MacLeod, Christy MacKenzie, Norena MacLeod, all of Grand River, Richmond County; former daughter-in-law, Shirley, Rhode Island; several nieces and nephews; and a very special great-nephew. Johnathan Benoit, Reading, Mass. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Donald John MacLean, second husband, Melvin McDonald, brothers, Kenneth, John Dan, Kenneth (in infancy) and sisters, Margaret, Catherine, and Mary. In respect of her wishes there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held in Zion United Church Hall, Gabarus Lake, at 2 p.m., July 26, 2008.
