Irene Mary Robinson

Irene Mary Robinson passed away peacefully at the Port Colborne Hospital on May 20, 2008, in her 87th year. She was a loving wife to Bruce Robinson and a dear mother to Randy, Charlie, Joe, Lily-Ann and their spouses. She is survived by several grand and great-grandchildren, as well as seven stepchildren and their families. She was a dear sister to Jean of Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Margaret Bagnell, her first husband, J.N. MacDonald and by her siblings, John, Willard, Harry, June and Dayna. Irene was born in Nova Scotia and served in the Second World War. She then lived in Goderich before settling in Port Colborne 30 years ago. Irene was an active member with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 109 in Goderich. She had a love for Celtic/Scottish music that she passed on to her family. A special thanks to Dr. Rungi and nurses at Port Colborne Hospital 2 West and 2 South for the excellent loving care provided to Irene. At Irene’s request cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Armstrong Funeral Home, 179 Clarence St., Port Colborne, Ont.
