Mrs. Madonna Snodgrass
75 of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Passed away peacefully on June 15, 2008. She was born January 1, 1933 in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada to Ignatius and Johanna Pittman. Mrs. Snodgrass had been a long time resident of Santa Rosa Beach. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion and served as president to the Women's Auxiliary for four years. Some of her hobbies included cooking and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her three dogs and her birds. She was very proud of her Newfoundland heritage and celebrated it. She was a devoted military wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Snodgrass is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Joe Snodgrass of Santa Rosa Beach; four daughters: Sheila (Ed) Rigdon of Sarasota, FL, Sue (Steve) Greenberg of Sarasota, FL, Debbie (Jerry) Mason of Knoxville, TN, Laurie (Ronnie) Chapman of Tucson, AZ.; two sons: Joe (Tina) Snodgrass of Destin, FL, Charles (Elizabeth) Snodgrass of Lynn Haven, FL; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers: Andy and Jack Pittman, and her sister Ella Hughes. Visitation hours were conducted at the Emerald Coast Funeral Home, Wednesday, June 18 from 11-12 PM. The funeral service celebrating her life followed visitation hours on Wednesday at 12 Noon at the funeral home, with Rev. Roy C. Marien, pastor of Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church, officiating.
