84, Westmount Annie Josephine MacDonald, 84, of Westmount, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at her residence. Born in Benacadie West, she was the daughter of the late John and Tena (MacNeil) MacLennan. She was a member of Holy Rosary parish, Westmount. Josie was a member of the Westside Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 126, having served during the Second World War with the Ladies Auxiliary Corps (WACS) in the Netherlands and Germany. She will be remembered for her great sense of humour, her practical jokes and her love of family and friends. She is survived by daughters, Theresa (Jim) Small, Westmount, Mary (Ron) Harding, Halifax, Tena (Tim) Krajcovic, Chicago; sons, Joseph (Marie), Edwardsville, Mike MacDonald, Halifax; sisters, Mrs. Mary Lizzie Gillis, Glace Bay, Mrs. Catherine MacAdam, Benacadie, Mrs. Theresa Gillis, Sydney; brothers, Neil (Aggie), Dan (Isabelle), both of Benacadie; five grandchildren, Shannon, Jessie, Francis, Breagh, Tyler; great-grandson, Terry and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Joseph in 1999, an infant son, Gerard, a sister, Mary Ann MacIsaac, four brothers, Malcolm, Alec, Mick, Angus and three brothers in childhood, Alex, Jackie and Angus Dan. Visitation for the late Mrs. MacDonald will take place Sunday, May 25 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Doug Murphy officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
