COOK, RONALD JOSEPH - At Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, April 10, 2002, Ronald Joseph (Doc) Cook of Oak Bay, NB. Born in St. Stephen on November 6, 1913 to the late Dr. Earle H. and Luella E. (Stalker) Cook. He was the Fire Chief of the St. Stephen Fire Department from 1972 to 1978. Survived by his daughter Ronna (Patrick) Boyle, daughter-in-law Elaine Cook, son-in-law Robert Brown, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Marion M. (Grant) Cook, son Gordon (Bud) Cook and daughter Charlene Brown. There will be no visitation by request of the family. A Memorial Service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB (506-466-1844) on Saturday April 13, 2002 at 11 AM, with Rev. Linda Thomas officiating, followed by a reception at the St. Stephen Branch No. 9 Royal Canadian Legion, Queen Street, St. Stephen, NB. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Palliative Care of the Saint John Regional Hospital, or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
