WHITE, JOAN - The death of Joan White, wife of the late John Henry White, occurred unexpectedly on April 9, 2002, at her residence. Born at Lanchshire, England, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie Hannah Matilda (Townley) Walsh. Mrs. White moved to Canada in February 1947 and has made Saint John her home. She is survived by her sons Robert W. and his wife Kathy of Darlings Island, Richard and his wife Lorrie of Rothesay, G. Kevin and his wife Rose of Saint John, her daughters Sharon A. and her husband John Major of Riverview, NB, Gail F. and her husband Paul Cutler of Hampton, NB, her thirteen grandchildren; Kerry, Krista, Kimberly and Karen White, Michelle, Heather and Laura Major, Greg and Steve Cutler, Shawn and Bryan White, Jennifer and David White, her two great-grandchildren; Brandon and Blake, and several nieces and nephews including her brother's children Bill, Jocelyn and Keith of St. John's, NFLD . She was predeceased by her brother William Walsh. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 12, 2002, at 11:00 AM, from St. Pius X Church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
