
MR. ROY JEFFERIES HOBEN
HOBEN, MR. ROY JEFFERIES - The death of Mr. Roy J. Hoben of 510 Boars Head Rd., husband of Mrs. Beatrice (Price) Hoben occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, April 22, 2002. Born in Burton, N.B. a son of the late Reuben Henry and Alice Ellen (MacDonald) Hoben. Mr. Hoben had been employed with the Dept. of National Defense in Camp Gagetown for a number of years. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Saint John and a former member of Marysville Pentecostal Church for many years. Roy's favorite past time was playing checkers. Surviving besides his wife Beatrice are his four daughters Ethel Dingee and Angela Cole (Laurie) of Saint John, Muriel Bugden (Alton) of New Glasgow, N.S. and Irene MacDonald (Norm) of Fredericton, one brother Sterling (Margi) of Fredericton and one sister Elsie Banks (Clem) also of Fredericton. Eight grandchildren George, Ann Marie, Tim, Robert, Jill, Norma, Mark and Marty, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, also survive him. Mr. Hoben is predeceased by his brothers Reuben and Havlock and sister Louise. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) from where the service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2002 at 11:00 am. Visiting at the funeral home will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 to 7 to 9 pm. A graveside committal service will be held in Dayton Cemetery, Fredericton, N.B. at 3:00 pm on Thursday. Donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or Charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
