NICKERSON, ETTA EILEEN - Passed away on April 18, 2002 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, NB. She was 85. Etta (Leighton) Nickerson of Woodstock, NB was born in Benton, NB on June 4, 1926 to the late Howard and Eva (Mowbray) Leighton. Etta worked at the Feldman's Clothing Company in Woodstock for numerous years. She is survived by one daughter, Doris Thomas (Ernest) of Bangor, ME; four grandchildren; Cindy, Mark, Cathy and Lisa, seven great-grandchildren; Mathew, Nicholas, Amy, Olivia, Victoria, Nichol and Joseph, and one sister-in-law, Pauline Derrah of Woodstock, NB. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil and one son Gary. Remains resting at The Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, NB. At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation. Funeral service will be held on May 2, 2002 at 1:00 PM from the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery. If you wish to make an expression of sympathy the family has requested the Diabetic Association or the Cancer Society.
