MARGUERITE B. OAKLEY

OAKLEY, MARGUERITE B. - The death of Marguerite B. (Jackson) Oakley, wife of the late Lloyd Oakley of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, April 24th, 2002 at the York Manor Nursing Home. Born in Canning, NS, daughter of the late Stanley and Mabel (MacGowan) Jackson. Marguerite is survived by one son, Gary Oakley of Fredericton, NB, two daughters, Sharida DuPlessis (John) of Douglas, NB, and Jacquelyn Oakley (Billie) of Fredericton, NB, one sister Alma Davidson of Saint John, NB, four grandchildren, Deborah Waugh (Jamie) of Maine, USA, Sean DuPlessis of Fredericton, NB, Jeremy Meisner of Halifax, NS, and Angela Meisner of Fredericton, NB, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Lloyd, one daughter, Janice Beverly Oakley, and one brother, Lorraine Jackson. Marguerite was a faithful and active member of Marysville United Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, traveling and participating in community events. She will always be remembered by her family and many friends for her baking. The family will receive visitors at River Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, April 25th, 2002 from 4-8 PM. The funeral service will be held at Marysville United Baptist Church on Friday, April 26th, 2002 at 2:00 PM with Rev. David DuBois officiating. Interment will take place in the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the Alzheimer Society or the Marysville United Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
