60, Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of David Alden Rea, 60, of Glace Bay, at the New Waterford Hospital, May 26, 2008, with his family by his side. Born in Glace Bay, David was the son of the late Alden and Louise (Burden) Rea. David had not been well for a number of years. David is survived by his sister, Isabel MacLeod (Sheldon); brother, Earl Rea (Freda); sister-in-law, Linda Rea, California; and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, David was predeceased by a brother William Rea. Visitation for the late David Alden will take place at Patten Funeral Home & Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520, Thursday May 29, 2008, from 7-8 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the funeral home chapel from 8-9 p.m., with Capt. Kirk MacLeod officiating. Internment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations in David’s memory may be made to Warden United Church or a charity of one’s choice.
