FORBES, GLADYS A. - The death of Gladys Aurilla (Elliot) Forbes of Millidge Ave, beloved wife of 51 years to George Forbes, occurred on Monday, May 6, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Kenneth, Carleton Co. she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Aurilla (Doherty) Elliot. Gladys was employed with the City of Saint John (Police Dept.) as a Clerk and a member of the International Order of Foresters. She is survived by one son Tom (Beth Quinn) Forbes of Gardner Creek, two daughters Linda (John Blizzard) Forbes of Saint John and Connie (Michael) Dow of Gardner Creek, two sisters Mary (Herb) Marshall of Toronto, Maude (Fred) Moores of Houlton, Maine, one sister-in-law Elizabeth Forbes, four grandchildren Christopher, Sarah, Alexis and Caitlin, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Frederick (Bud), three sisters Jessie, Margaret and Emily. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2002 from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11: 00 AM. Interment in Black River United Cemetery.
