Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on June 27, 2008, Mary Emma Bishop of Spaniard's Bay in her 89th year. Predeceased by husband Harold L. Bishop (1998); parents Suzanna and Leonard Gosse; sisters: Gertrude (John) Smith, Bertha (Richard) Noseworthy, Cassie (Graham) Seymour; brothers: Richard (Rose) Gosse, John Gosse Reid (Ruth); brothers-in-law: John Bishop (Nellie), Edward Smith, Howard Andrews. Left with fond and loving memories her daughters: Bertha (Ray) Adams of Spaniard's Bay; Janice (Randell) Drover of Upper Island Cove; sisters: Ethel (Otto) Clarke of Tilton; Mildred Andrews of Shearstown; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Grandaughters: Carol Ann (Todd) Crane; Lori (Brent) Mercer; Terri-Lynn (Gordie) Meadus; grandsons: Shawn (Lorraine) Drover; Robin (Charlene) Drover; great-grandchildren: Mackenzie and Madison Crane; Brianna, Reily and Darien Meadus; Noelle and Shelby Drover; Brandon and Abby Drover; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Young's Funeral Home in Spaniard's Bay. The funeral service will take place Monday at 2 p.m. June 30 at Holy Redeemer Church, Spaniard's Bay with interment to follow at Maul Tree Hill Cemetery, Spaniard's Bay.
