NEWMAN, HELEN FLORENCE - Died peacefully surrounded by her family at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 6, 2002. Helen Florence Newman, 84, of Saint John West, wife of the late Herman J. Newman. Born in Saint John, NB, a daughter of the late William Henry Brown and the late Ella Mable (Lord) (Brown) Hill. She lived all of her life in Saint John West. She was a member of St. George's Anglican Church, a member of the Friendship Club and the Carleton Community Seniors Club. Surviving are three sons; Herman E. (Lorna) Newman of Saint John, Richard (Erma) Newman of Rothesay and Gary Newman of Ottawa, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special niece Beverley Sullivan. Predeceased by her husband Herman, four brothers; Everett Brown, Murray Brown, George Hill and Donald Hill, also one sister; Muriel Curtis Jacques. Resting at CASTLE "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. West (634-1701). Funeral Service will be held at "Fallsview" Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or St. George's Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
