BETTERIDGE, JOHN - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 23, 2002, John Charles Betteridge, husband of the late Jean (Kyle) Betteridge of Quispamsis, N.B. Born in Wiltshire, England, September 1, 1920, the son of the late Arthur and Gertrude Betteridge. He worked for many years for Brantford Roofing and Saint John Iron Works where retired in 1984. He was a member of St. Augustine Church, Quispamsis. He is survived by four sons, David (Susan), Doug (Nancy), John (Brenda), and Paul, all of Quispamsis, five daughters Lynda Nice (Dave), of Quispamsis, Sharon Guitar (Wendell), of St. Stephen, Valerie Hutchins (Vaughan), of Sussex, Judy McIntyre (Joe) of Kingston, Nancy Clarke of Louisiana, U.S.A., one sister Elsie Kyle of Sussex and one sister-in-law Irene Straight of Saint John, nineteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Castle "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Hampton Road, Rothesay, N.B. (1-506-849-1702) from where the visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at 11 a.m. at "Kings Chapel" in Rothesay. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, the N.B. Lung Association or to the charity of the donors choice.
