72, Albert Bridge Marven Albert Matheson, 72, Trout Brook Road, Albert Bridge, passed away at home Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Born in North Sydney, he was a son of the late Gordon and Jean (Lewis) Matheson. He was a member of Senior Pro Bowling League, the Royal Canadian Legion Bowling League, Suburban Mixed Bowling League, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 151, East Bay, Metro Gun and Pistol Club and Seaview Golf and Country Club. Marven was retired from Syncrude Canada in Fort McMurray. A former member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 165, Ft. McMurray, Miskanaw Golf Club, Ft. McMurray Gun Club and the Ft. McMurray City Mixed Bowling League. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife, Sylvia (MacDonald); daughters, Glenna (Ron) Green, Ft. McMurray and Debbie Matheson, Sydney; grandchildren, Heather and Erin Matheson. Memorials may be made to the Asthma Foundation of Nova Scotia. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with a legion service held at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday, 11 a.m., with Rev.
