JARDINE, FREDERICK I. - Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 23rd, 2002; Frederick Irvine Jardine; husband of Rose (Sharpe) Jardine of Quispamsis, NB. Born in Chatham, NB he was the son of the late Frederick W. and Marion Jean (Irvine) Jardine. Fred was employed with NBTel for 40 years with their engineering department, recently receiving recognition from the company for his years of service. Fred was also a longtime member of Quispamsis United Church and the Telephone Pioneers. Surviving in addition to his wife Rose are his daughter Nancy, at home, two sons, James (Suzanne) of Rothesay, NB and Robert (Dana) of Prince George, B.C., one brother D. Jock (Barbara) of Ottawa, six grandchildren, Caleb, Michael, Kane, Frederick, Alex and Andrew, two cousins Judge Robert McLeave and Hugh Thompson, 13 nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his son Stephen in 1988. Resting at CASTLE "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Old Hampton Road, Rothesay, NB (849-1702) from where the visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28th, 2002, at 2:00 pm at Quispamsis United Church. Cremation will follow, with an interment of ashes to take place in St. Andrews Cemetery, Rexton, NB, at a later date.
