It is with great sadness that the Rose family announce the passing of their loving mother on Friday, June 27, 2008 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital at the age of 81. Netta was well known for her store "Roses Grocery" on Casey Street for many years. Netta is predeceased by her husband Edward (1999), who served in World War II; brothers Don and Al; sister Daisy; and son-in-law Larry. Left to mourn with loving memories are her seven children: Netta L. who lived with and cared for her mother for many years in St. John's; Effie (Joao), Ontario; Madonna, Ontario; Elizabeth, Ontario; Baxter, Ontario; Eleanor(Jim), St.John's; and John, CBS; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; also many relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on July 2, 2008 at 2 p.m. from Barrett's Chapel with interment to follow at the Field of Honor, Mt.
