CARROLL, ALICE - The death of M. Alice Carroll, age 79, widow of Howard Carroll occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, July 14, 2002. Born in Bloomfield, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Priscilla (Doiron) Blanchard. Alice was a registered nurse, having worked in Bouctouche (where she met the love of her life, Howard), Moncton and Sackville. She was a member of St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville, an avid reader who enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. During the last six years, she worked tirelessly and lovingly cared for her husband of 52 years, who passed away on June 28, 2002. She will be sadly missed by three daughters, Barbara (Don) Carson, Amherst, NS, Joan (Gary) Lund of Hampton, NB, Mona (Sylvio), Grand-Digue; two sons, David (Tracy), Victoria, BC, and Tom of Moncton. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Patrick, Tracy, Amanda, Tony, Zachary, Chris, Jillian, Daniel and Stephen. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family being predeceased by her brothers, Henry and Louis, and sisters, Albina, Adele, Claire, Mary, and Thelma. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (364-1300) with visitation Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at 11 am, at St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville. Burial in the Bouctouche Parish Cemetery. A prayer vigil will be held at the funeral home, Monday evening at 8:30 pm, all are welcome.
